Profile:

Dr. Charles Hyre joined the Winchester Surgical Clinic in July 2008. He received his undergraduate degree from Oral Roberts University, completed medical school at Ohio State University and did his general surgical training at Indiana University medical Center. He was in practice in Jackson, TN for several years after residency where he had a broad general and trauma surgery practice. While in Jackson, Dr. Hyre developed a free clinic to provide indigent care at a homeless shelter, organized a comprehensive breast care center and severed as medical director of the Wound Management Center. He also spent one year in Gabon, Africa where he served as the interim program director for a general surgery residency where he was able to participate in training surgeons from several different countries in Africa. He is board certified in general surgery and is also a Certified Wound Specialist. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, Christian Medical Society, Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, and the Undersea and Hyperbaric medical Society. His professional interests include cancer surgery, breast surgery, trauma surgery, abdominal surgery and wound care.
