In June, Warren Memorial Hospital sponsors Camp MED (Mentoring Everyone's Dreams) I, a four-day program designed to allow rising eighth and ninth graders who may be interested in healthcare to learn more about the variety of professions open to them. The program incorporates hands-on experiences as well as demonstrations and other activities, making it a fun and educational experience. Camp MED II, held in August, is designed to build on the experiences of the previous year's camp. Graduates of Camp MED I return to shadow staff in areas of particular interest to the returning campers. One day is spent doing hands-on learning activities in a clinical training lab.
