Surgical Information Sessions
The First Step Toward Weight Loss Success

For anyone considering bariatric surgery at Winchester Medical Center, the first step is to attend a free patient information session. We offer the option of attending an in-person session or viewing a video session. Both options offer complete, up-to-date information on what to expect throughout the weight loss surgery journey, answering common questions such as:
  • What types of procedures are offered?
  • How long is the hospital stay?
  • How much weight loss can be expected?
  • What is the recovery like?
  • What are the risks?
  • What lifestyle changes are necessary after the surgery?
  • What type of diet needs to be followed after surgery?
In-Person Surgical Information Session
Surgical information sessions are held two times each month in the Conference Center at Winchester Medical Center. Classes take place on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays each month, at 6:00pm. Each session offers free parking and typically lasts between 60 and 90 minutes. Our surgeons and staff will answer all questions and patients are encouraged to bring a support person to the session. Registration is required.
