Accreditation

Our Breast Care Program received re-accreditation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) in early 2013. Winchester Medical Center was first designated as an NAPBC-accredited breast center in 2009, the first program in our tri-state region to earn that designation. These accomplishments recognize our comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for patients from evaluation through treatment and follow-up care.

To earn NAPBC certification, a center must undergo a rigorous evaluation and demonstrate compliance with standards for treating women who are diagnosed with the full spectrum of breast disease. To maintain accreditation, a center must monitor compliance with NAPBC standards and undergo an on-site review every three years.
