Aspects of our program include:
Initial medical assessment – We start with a thorough medical assessment. This evaluation looks
at the unique needs and the challenges faced by the participants. We don’t
use a “one size fits all” approach. Instead, we tailor our
rehabilitation plans to the needs of each individual patient. Our plans
are tailored to your needs. You’ll work with a highly experienced
and knowledgeable team every step of the way, and we’ll show you
how to assess your activity level.
Medically supervised exercise – Our exercise programs are medically supervised. You need a physician
order to begin with an exercise program. We will keep your heart rhythm
/ heart rate monitored during your exercise as well as oxygen levels for
patients with lung conditions.
Educational resources and classes – We help our patients understand how medications and nutrition affect
cardiopulmonary conditions, and work with them to plan a diet that is
good for your heart. We offer weekly classes from our staff of multidisciplinary
experts. Contact our Virginia hospital to learn more.
