Diabetes Management
Valley Health's Diabetes Management Program is an American Diabetes Association recognized program offering education on a variety of topics including type 1 and type 2 diabetes, medical nutrition therapy, insulin pump initiation and support, gestational diabetes and pre-diabetes, as well as assessments, adjustments and management and classes on healthy eating and goal setting. CPR classes are available on a regular basis to the community. Other health education programs on a variety of topics are scheduled throughout the year.  304 -258-6515

Emergency Department
Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, the Emergency Department treats immediate health needs from minor to serious illness or injury. Patients with special needs are stabilized, and emergency transport via ambulance or helicopter is coordinated to a more specialized facility. 304-258-1234 

Health Screenings
War Memorial Hospital conducts free health screenings such as blood cholesterol and blood glucose each fall at the annual Morgan County Health Fair and also sponsors the annual Morgan County Children’s Safety Fair in June. Hospital staff also participates in various community health-oriented events and activities throughout the year.  304-258-6578   

The Laboratory performs complete blood analysis including emergency cardiac, liver, and renal profiles, drug monitoring, DNA collection, and a large menu of routine testing. 304-258-6507

Long-Term Care 
War Memorial Hospital has a 16-bed unit providing personalized, restorative nursing care, therapy services (including respiratory) and a variety of recreational and social activities in a home-like atmosphere. This unit is certified for Medicaid.  304-258-6512

Medical Imaging
Diagnostic imaging services including x-ray/fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound, digital mammography, bone densitometry, and mobile MRI.  304- 258-6508 

Rehabilitation Services
War Memorial Hospital offers rehabilitation services including physical, occupational and speech therapy.  304-258-6516  Outpatient therapy services are located at 261 Berkmore Place, Suite 2A, in Berkeley Springs.  304-258-8377

Respiratory Therapy/Cardiopulmonary Services
Staff members assess patients’ cardiac and respiratory status and provide appropriate testing and therapy to assist with breathing and cardiopulmonary function. The department also offers EKG’s, 24-hour holter monitoring, echocardiography, exercise and non-exercise stress testing.  304-258-6530 

Skilled Care (Swing Beds) 
War Memorial Hospital's inpatient beds may be used as needed to provide either acute care or short-term skilled nursing care and rehabilitation (physical, occupational and speech therapy) after a hospitalization, illness or surgery for patients who are expected to be discharged home.  304-258-6510

Sleep Lab
Diagnosis and treatment of common sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome, and narcolepsy.  304-258-6530

Speaker’s Bureau
Hospital staff is available to provide updates on the hospital and its services as well as health education programs to schools and community organizations.  304-258-6578

Wellness & Fitness Services
Personal Training and Fitness Program Participants work one-on-one with an exercise physiologist who designs an individualized workout program to meet their physical needs.
