Winchester Medical Center offers diagnosis, treatment and education for patients who are losing kidney function. Services include a 13-bed inpatient treatment area, an erythopoietin (EPO) outpatient clinic
for chronic kidney disease patients with anemia, as well as kidney disease screenings and educational classes.
Kidney Disease Education and Awareness
Chronic kidney disease often goes unnoticed, yet can lead to kidney failure and cardiovascular disease. Winchester Medical Center, in partnership with the Winchester Medical Center Foundation, offers an opportunity in March of each year to learn about the importance of early detection and treatment of this “silent” disease at a free community education and awareness event on World Kidney Day. The event, held in the Winchester Medical Center Conference Center, offers free screenings including lab work.
