Chronic kidney disease often goes unnoticed, yet can lead to kidney failure and cardiovascular disease. Winchester Medical Center, in partnership with the Winchester Medical Center Foundation, offers an opportunity in March of each year to learn about the importance of early detection and treatment of this “silent” disease at a free community education and awareness event on World Kidney Day. The event, held in the Winchester Medical Center Conference Center, offers free screenings including lab work. Click here for information about the 2013 World Kidney Day event.
