The federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released new HCAHPS data in September, 2010 on patient satisfaction across the United States. On a key question -Would you recommend this hospital to family and friends? - Winchester Medical Center (WMC) received the response of ‘definitely yes’ from 86 percent of patients, the top score among all 175 hospitals in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and the District of Columbia.
