Profile:

Dr. Posadas jointed the Winchester Surgical Clinic in July, 2009. He completed his medical school training in Venezuela where he graduated with honors. He moved to the united States in 2001 and spent some time working at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland and later in Connecticut where he worked for a year in a Yale University associated hospital. He finished his General Surgery Residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. Dr. Posadas has interests in different areas of General Surgery. He has been trained in laparoscopic and endoscopic techniques for gastroesophageal reflux disease. Dr. Posadas and Dr. Ulich are the only ones in the area performing transoral incisionless fundoplications. Dr. Posadas received training in laparoscopy as part of his core education during residency, including laparoscopic colon surgery, laparoscopic gallbladder surgery and laparoscopic abdominal wall hernia surgery. Other areas of interest include surgical endoscopy, inguinal hernia repair and thyroid and parathyroid surgery.
