Weekend Offers Nurturing Experience for Breast Cancer Survivors
Women who have completed treatment for breast cancer in the past three years are invited to attend Time for Living, a weekend for breast cancer survivors, on October 6-7, 2012, at Carter Hall Conference Center at Project HOPE International Headquarters in Millwood, VA. The retreat is sponsored by Wellspring, a service of Winchester Medical Center, with funding provided by the Winchester Medical Center Foundation.
The weekend offers a unique opportunity to meet other breast cancer survivors, indulge in some personal pampering and enjoy the natural beauty of Carter Hall’s gardens and historic buildings. This two-day break from everyday life will include time for personal reflection and activities such as healthy eating choices, massages and an evening bonfire.
Any woman who has completed treatment in the past three years for Stage 0, 1, 2 or 3 breast cancer is welcome to attend the retreat. The registration fee of $49 includes lodging in the Stone Carriage House, all meals (catered by Village Square), guided meditation and reflective activities, and more. To help make the most of the retreat experience, the number of participants will be limited.
