Valley Health Welcomes Surgical Oncologist
Valley Health welcomes Patrick Wagner, MD, a fellowship-trained surgical oncologist who has joined the medical staff at Winchester Medical Center. Dr. Wagner’s new practice, Valley Health Surgical Oncology, opened on August 6.
Dr. Wagner completed his surgical residency in New York City at the Weill Cornell Medical Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. During his training, he also completed a residency in anatomic pathology and served as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Scholar while a student at Harvard Medical School.
Following residency, Dr. Wagner completed a surgical oncology fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he gained extensive experience in minimally invasive and robotic cancer surgery, complex gastrointestinal surgery, and management of advanced cancers using regional therapeutic techniques. He is board-certified in general surgery and anatomic pathology.
Affiliated with Winchester Medical Center’s fully-accredited cancer program, Valley Health Surgical Oncology encompasses all aspects of general surgical oncology, with an emphasis on malignancies of the esophagus, stomach, liver, pancreas, colon and rectum.
