    About the Physician

    Physician Bio

    Dr. Rickman is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She received her doctorate
    degree from the University of Iowa and completed her residency at the
    Kennedy Krieger Institute at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
    Dr. Rickman completed her post-doctoral fellowship at Children’s
    Medical Center of Dallas. She is credentialed as Health Service Psychologist
    and specializes in treating individuals experiencing psychosocial difficulties
    in daily functioning secondary to chronic illnesses. In the past she has
    worked with patients with diabetes, obesity, cancer, and solid organ transplants
    in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Dr. Rickman conducts biopsychosocial
    assessments to help the team identify treatment-related needs of patients
    and also works with patients to address these needs. “I enjoy supporting
    patients throughout their journey of improving their overall health and
    well-being.” She provides behavioral and cognitive-behavioral psychotherapeutic
    interventions to support coping, adjustment, and lifestyle changes necessary
    to improve our patients’ health outcomes.
