The Winchester Medical Center Medical Radiography Program has been a functioning
program for over 65 years. The Program is governed by the Joint Review
Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). The status of
full accreditation has been attained following a site visit to our institution
by the JRCERT. The institution is reviewed at least once every eight years
with an interim report at the end of four years. The curriculum taught
in the program follows the curriculum guidelines set forth by the American
Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT).
Our graduates are qualified to sit for the American Registry of Radiologic
Technologists (ARRT) examination as a result of this accreditation and
are sought by hospitals in the tri-state area and by many institutions
throughout the country.
The Medical Radiography Program is certified by the State Council of Higher
Education for Virginia (SCHEV).
