VACCINATION INFORMATION
For information on H1N1 (Swine) Flu vaccine, please contact the Page County Health Department at 743-6528.
On November 13, there will be a VACCINATION clinic at Page
Memorial Hospital for H1N1 Vaccine. The clinic will be at 1PM and the
cost for administration of the vaccine will be $15. This clinic is
intended for patients will chronic lung diseases and other conditions
that place them at high risk from Swine Flu. If you are not sure of
your risk, please call your doctor to ask. Pediatric vaccine will not
be available.
- H1N1 vaccine is now intermittently available through the Page County Health Department. As of now, vaccination programs are targeting:
- Children 6 months – 24 years (young children may require 2 doses)
- Pregnant women -- VERY IMPORTANT!
- Healthcare workers
- Caretakers of young children.
- Vaccine
will be given by the schools and designated vaccination sites (Page
County schools and PMH will participate in these programs).

Seasonal flu vaccine
- Seasonal flu vaccine is now available!
- This vaccine will not protect against the H1N1 strain of influenza;
- Vaccine is recommended for all patients over 6 months except healthy individuals between 20-50 who do not care for a person who is at higher risk
- You can receive a seasonal flu shot through:
- Your primary care physician’s office;
- The Page County Health Department;
- Local pharmacies;
- Your place of employment (if offered)
Page County Seasonal Vaccine Schedule (current October 15, 2009)
Over the next several weeks vaccine for Seasonal Flu will be available at several local pharmacies and physician offices. The cost ranges from $25-40 and may be billable to insurance.
Primary Care Offices
Page Health Care (Desrochers, Feit, Mashaw, Ross, Switzer, Dillon, Rider) – Beginning September 29th, will be offering flu shots to established patients on Tuesdays. Please call to schedule at 743-2887.
Page Rural Health Care (Lee, Jackson) – Beginning September 28th will offer vaccine to established patients without an appointment.
Valley Internal Medicine (Dale, Miller, Blanche) – Is currently out of seasonal flu vaccine.
Dr. Rakaric’s office will also provide vaccine to established patients when they receive it.
Dr. Monte Brothers will offer vaccine in clinics on September 30th and October 7th from 1PM to 3PM. Established patients will receive preference and appointments are required.
Pharmacies
Stanley Pharmacy is awaiting further vaccine supply and will offer flu vaccine when it arrives. Call 778-3100 for details.
Wal-Mart will be having vaccine clinics on September 30, October 1, October 19 and October 20th.
Page County Health Department -- Infant and child vaccine is available free of charge for those who qualify. For other patients age 4 and up, vaccine is available in a limited supply. Call 743-6528 for details.
