In response to rise in the number of flu cases in the region, visiting policies at Valley Health hospitals have been modified. These new regulations will be in effect until the flu season winds down in late winter or early spring 2010.

Visitors to Valley Health hospitals must be at least 18 years of age. Patients can have only two visitors at a time. In addition, visiting hours at Winchester Medical Center are shortened to four hours a day:
• 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
 
Other system hospitals may alter visitation hours too, if conditions warrant.

Shenandoah Memorial Hospital
Visitors must be at least 18 years of age.
Patients can have only two visitors at a time.
Intensive Care Unit: 11:00am to 2:00pm and from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
Mother/Baby: 9:00am to 9:00pm
Medical / Surgical: 11:00am to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 8:00pm.

Warren Memorial Hospital
Visitors must be at least 18 years of age.
Patients can have only two visitors at a time.
Under the Planetree philosophy, family and friends are encouraged to be involved in their loved one’s care. There are no formal visiting hours.

Winchester Medical Center
Note: Effective October 27, 2009, visiting hours at WMC are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Only two visitors are allowed with a patient at one time. Visitors must be at least 18 years of age.
The following visitation policy is temporarily suspended effective October 27, 2009.
Accepts normally accepts visitors 7 days a week from 7:00a.m. to 9:00p.m. Please note that visitor access to the Mother-Baby unit is restricted. The father of significant other may visit the parent at any time. Grandparents of the newborn may visit between 7:00a.m. and 7:00p.m. Other family members may visit during the designated hours of 1-3p.m. and 7-9p.m.

Hampshire Memorial Hospital
