For 25 year, Winchester Medical Center has been providing advanced cardiovascular care to area residents. The medical staff for heart and vascular services now includes eighteen cardiologists, four thoracic & cardiovascular surgeons, three interventional radiologists, an electrophysiologist and an interventional neurologist, all board certified in their particular specialty.
Preventing Heart Disease
The Heart & Vascular Center provides a broad screening program called the Heart Attack Risk Program, or HARP for short. Provided at sites throughout the region, HARP screenings are designed to help people make quantifiable changes in their risk factors, and provide an understanding of how to prevent future heart problems. The Heart and Vascular Center is also encourages people to take the HeartAware TM online risk assessment. The HeartAware online risk assessment is designed to help you determine your risk of developing heart disease. If someone you loved went into cardiac arrest would you know how to perform life-saving CPR? Friends and Family CPR AnytimeTM can teach you and your family what to do if a cardiac emergency occurs.
