There are many ways you can help our hospitals fulfill the mission of improving health in our communities. Each hospital within Valley Health includes its own foundation that raises funds to support their associated health care organization. The foundations serve to manage philanthropy both through fundraising and distributing grants to improve health care.
All donors determine where their gift goes. As we invite our hospital leadership, employees, corporations, vendors and the community to give, each donor chooses which area they would like to designate their gift to, and then the respective Foundation and Finance teams ensure that their gift is applied to the appropriate project.
Some examples of your gifts at work at our hospitals are:
- The treatment and care for cancer and heart & vascular patients.
- Caring for premature babies (especially those in our NICU).
- Compassionate Care for indigent patients and staff at our hospitals with emergency needs.
- Funding community outreach programs to include Camp SuperKids (for asthmatic children), the annual safety fair, and community CPR programs.
- Scholarships for students who are seeking a medical career.
One of the most rewarding aspects of giving to one of our Foundations is that your gift helps our hospitals enhance the services and programs provided to our patients and families right here in our communities.
